Healthrider Elliptical Trainer Review:
A Review of Healthrider Crosstrainers & Where To Find Them Online
Strengths:
Upper Body Arms - Upper body arms can help you increase your calorie burning and get an overall total body workout. Upper body arm bars are available on pretty much all Healthrider models.
EKG Pulse Sensors - Several Healthrider models offer heart rate monitors in the form of EKG Pulse Sensors. You just grip the sensors and get feedback about your heart rate. For an economy machine, this is a pretty good feature to have.
iFit Compatiblity - The H90e elliptical offers iFit card capability. iFit workout cards offer 8 weeks of personal trainer workouts (per card). You insert the card directly into the elliptical's console and the program will automatically adjust your speed and incline to fit the workout's goals.
Power Ramp / Incline - Incline (found on the H90e elliptical) lets you increase your workout slope. This works different muscle groups to burn the maximum amount of calories. While incline is a very popular feature, it should be noted that incline is also found on several Nordic Track and Proform models as well.
Weaknesses:
Healthrider home ellipticals do offer some popular features, however at this price point, you get a lot more for your money with brands like Nordic Track or Sole.
They give you longer warranties, more selection, better fitness tools and an overall better design.
Summary: Not Recommended
Healthrider ellipticals are economy ellipticals and aren't really built to stand up to aggressive or even regular use. While you do get some interesting features like iFit compatiblity, upper body arms bars and heart rate sensors, you can find these features - and a lot more on similar priced Nordic Track models.
Overall we would not recommend these ellipticals - not because they're poor machines - but just because there are a lot better options out there at the same price point.
Where To Buy At A Discount:
You can buy the newest Healthrider crosstrainers direct from the Manufacturer. You can also get Free Shipping at certain times of the year.
