Strengths:

Interplay™ Universal iPod® Dock - Plug in, charge and play your iPod or mp3 player and listen to your favorite music through 2 built in speakers. This is a really popular feature with buyers and can help make your workout a lot more fun.

iFit Card Compatible - The Nordic Track ASR 630 is iFit Card Compatible. iFit Cards are separate cards that have 8 weeks of workouts based on your goal (weight loss, wellness, etc.). Each workout on the card is designed by a certified personal trainer and plugs directly into the elliptical's console. It automatically adjusts your speed and incline, and you get a personal trainer's voice talking you through each workout.

Stride Select™ Adjustable Stride - You can adjust your stride length to work different muscle groups. The stride lengths are 13", 15" and 18". This is also a handy feature if there are multiple users in your family - for example shorter people tend to prefer 14-16" strides whereas taller people prefer 18"+ strides.

Folding - Very few ellipticals fold, so this is a nice feature to have, especially if you're short on space.

Weaknesses:

Obviously the Nordic Track ASR 630 is not going to give you the stability or commercial feel of a higher end elliptical. The user weight capacity (275 lbs) is on the low side and the adjustable stride is a nice touch however, unless you're 5 feet tall most people will find the 13" stride really uncomfortable.

Summary:

The Nordic Track ASR 630 elliptical is a great little economy buy if you're on a budget and still want a decent elliptical. You can fold it up to save space and the adjustable stride can help you work different muscle groups.
