Nordic Track Elite 1300 Elliptical
A Review of the Nordic Track 1300 Elliptical & Where To Find It At A Discount
350 lb Weight Capacity - This is one of the highest user weight capacities at this price point. It contributes to an overall more stable feeling elliptical than some of the other economy models.
Upper Body Arms - Upper body arms can help you increase your calorie burning and get an overall total body workout. Custom molded hand grips are a nice touch for a more comfortable feel.
Heart Rate Monitor - You can monitor your heart rate using either the handle bars with built-in pulse sensors or the heart rate chest strap for hands-free pulse monitoring.
Club Style Console - While the console isn't exactly commercial grade, it's still very good, easy to read and bright with a 10 x 20 matrix that shows your workout intensity. Plus it's also set up a bit higher than other ellipticals which can make it easier to read.
Weaknesses:
We would have liked to see a longer parts warranty on the Nordic track 1300. (Although you can purchase longer coverage if you choose).
Summary:
If you really like the Nordic Track name and want one of their higher end models, the elite 1300 is one to consider. You get an extra long 20" stride, high-set club-style console, sturdy feel and 15 built in workout programs.
Although it doesn't have some of the bells and whistles that other NordicTrack units have, the construction on this unit is a bit heavier than other units so it will probably stand up to heavier use.
And the current sale price makes it a steal.
Where To Buy At A Discount:

Some people prefer front drive ellipticals, claiming they give an overall smoother ride.
It also offers one of the longest stride lengths you can find on an elliptical: 20". A longer stride helps to make your workout feel smoother. Plus it helps to more fully work your leg muscles for a more effective, calorie burning workout.
So is it the right buy for you? Here's a review of the Nordic Track 1300 elliptical to help you decide:

20 Inch Stride Length - Many cheaper ellipticals offer stride lengths of only 14 or 16 inches. The larger stride length ensures you work the full range of leg muscles and burn maximum calories.
It also gives a much smoother feeling ride. This longer stride length is especially appreciated by taller users or those with longer legs.
