A Detailed Review of the Schwinn 431
Strengths:

Advanced Blue Backlit LCD Console - The console includes a place for your mp3 player, a towel hook and built-in fan. The blue backlit LCD display is easy to read and much more advanced than the 418 and 430 models.

Solid Warranty - The warranty is quite good compared to similarly priced ellipticals. You get 15 years on the frame, 2 years on parts, 1 year on electronics and 6 months on labor.

Smooth Ride - With a heavy 25 pound steel flywheel and computer controlled drive system you get a very smooth ride. It doesn't shake or wobble when you pick up your pace.

High User Ratings - Consumer reviews have been very positive for the 431.  As of this writing, it rates 4.5 out of 5 stars with users at Amazon

Popular features with reviewers were the sturdiness of the unit, quietness of operation and ease of assembly.

Weaknesses:

This is still an economy elliptical and it's not recommended for heavy or prolonged use. And while most people are fine with the 18" stride, taller users may prefer the 20" stride found on the Sole brand.

Conclusion:  Recommended

The Schwinn 431 elliptical offers high stability, solid construction, advanced console, lots of resistance levels and built in workouts, plus a decent warranty.  It is probably one of the best ellipticals under $1000 right now.

While it's still an economy elliptical, it's well made and packs a lot of value into a very low price.

Where To Buy At A Discount:
